Welcome to Day 9 of the 31 Days of Marketing Your Freelance Business Series! For the month of October we are going to be covering a ton of different ways you can market your business and get more clients.
You may think that growing an email list is only a priority for online stores or businesses with physical products to sell, but having an email list can help every business owner and, yes, that includes freelancers!
Email might seem like a relic of the past but people still spend 28% of their day with their inbox. Emails also tend to convert 5x higher than social media. So basically, email is still relevant! And it is a marketing tool you should not ignore.
Here are a few things you can do with your email list:
- share your blog content and drive traffic to your website
- offer tips or insights to assert yourself as an expert
- send out special offers or promotions when work is slow
- announce new programs, e-books, or courses that you may offer one day
- get referrals, build your network, and find work
- stay top of mind as a go-to freelancer in your field
Building your email list will help your business to grow for years to come.
