Let me tell you a story about a friend of mine.
This friend is a very talented marketer. She is skilled in so many areas of marketing, from copywriting to social media to front-end development and content creation. This friend can basically help you with every single aspect of creating a killer online presence.
She also has a large network. She is super friendly and will strike up a conversation with anyone. She goes to tons of networking events and even offers to take photos (did I mention this friend is also a talented photographer?). She organizes meetups and workshops. She is a vibrant bright light and has the bold, extroverted tendencies I wish I possessed. She knows everyone in our local entrepreneurial community.
This friend also has no clients.
With all of these skills and a seriously outgoing personality, this friend could be charging premium rates for full-service web packages for entrepreneurs. I mean, she’s a one-stop branding, marketing, and sales shop! Her business should be booming. But it’s not. And there is one major reason why…
She doesn’t have clear options to work with her.
Seriously. When you find this person’s website it is a mess of information. There are pages upon pages upon pages of what she knows, but no explanation of she can help her potential clients.
She has no pricing, no packages, no service offerings.
I have wanted to collaborate with this friend on many occasions on client projects that I thought she could benefit from. But it has never come to fruition because she cannot tell me what she charges, or even what she really does.
This is completely destroying her ability to build a thriving business. She is making it far too difficult for anyone to hire her. And she’s not alone. Many freelancers, coaches, and service-based business owners have the same problem.
(Side note: This story is not about me, but it might as well have been when I first started freelancing. My web presence was terrible and no one could hire me even if they wanted to.)
This inspired me to create a bit of free training for you called “The Website Refresh”.
The Website Refresh is a 4-part training series that will teach you how to improve your website and turn it into a client converting machine.
If you can put aside a couple of hours over the next 4 weeks to implement the lessons in The Website Refresh you will absolutely have a freelance website that you can be proud of. If you want to take your business to the next level, your website has to be ready for it.
This short course might be just what you need to step it up right now.
