Last week went by so fast it was practically a blur. Sitting down to write this was even a challenge because I could barely recall what I had done. But after reflecting, I realized I did a whole hell of a lot! Isn’t reflection great?
Last week I spent a good chunk of my time on-boarding new clients. I’m really excited about these accounts and the new work. One of my favourite things about being a freelancer is the opportunity to work with new clients every few months; it adds such variety to my work and I love the challenge. I also met up with a freelancer friend that just moved to Montreal, celebrated a dear friend’s birthday, and watched my football team lose terribly.
How was your week?
LAST WEEK’S GOALS
#1 Write my first guide – I did make some progress on this and I am loving it. I decided to cut myself some slack and take a couple of weeks to finish it though as it is getting pretty in depth.
#2 Create (and stick to) a regular blogging schedule – Done and done. Now I’m working on populating my editorial calendar with content ideas.
#3 Create a press plan for my e-commerce company – My business partner and I burned through a ton of work on the site and the marketing plan, and made new plans for the blog and for the launch. I’m so excited for this thing to launch I can’t even explain it!
#4 Meditate daily – Nailed it! This was a challenge as the street is being dug up in front of my building so it is INSANELY LOUD and hard to focus. But I am loving taking the time for myself and starting each day on a positive note.
THIS WEEK’S GOALS
#1 Finish writing my guide – I want to have this thing fully written by this time next week so that I can work on making it pretty and launching it for all to see!
#2 Meditate daily – Like I said, this is helping me start my day off right and it is a ritual I want to continue.
#3 Create some art for my office – I just setup my home office and it looks so empty! I want to create some of my own wall art to get my creative juices flowing.
#4 Order business cards – I know what you’re thinking – why the F don’t I have business cards already? And honestly, I have no excuse. This week I had an opportunity to hand out business cards to potential clients EVERY TIME I LEFT THE HOUSE. I can’t put this one off any longer.
#5 Plan my meals – I am pretty terrible for making meal plans and as such end up eating pickles and grapes (or some equally disgusting combination) for lunch most days. Now that it’s fall I would like to get my shit together and eat like a grown up. I think I’ll be using this meal planner so graciously provided by Melyssa at The Nectar Collective.
