Happy Monday! It’s going to be a good week – I’m calling it right now.
This weekend was really awesome! On Friday afternoon we got on a bus to a farm/brewery in Ontario for Beau’s Brewery’s annual Oktoberfest. We ate so much food and tried out a variety of beers (I’m a huge beer nerd, did you know that?), and saw a few bands including Joel Plaskett who I absolutely love. Saturday was rainy and we spent most of the day inside drinking coffee and working (I wrote, Mike played guitar) until the evening when we went to see The Constantine’s play at a bar down the street. They put on a phenomenal show and it was awesome to see them play after their 4 year hiatus. It was a pretty perfect end to a long week.

LAST WEEK’S GOALS
#1 Take more walks – I’m not sure I can say I accomplished this one. I mean, I’m a Montrealer so I walk everywhere but I can’t say I took too many leisurely walks. Perhaps I’ll try again this week.
#2 Read before bed – I did read at least 3 nights before bed, which is better than I’ve done for the last year or so. I call that a win.
#3 Write, write, write – I had hoped to get ahead with my blog posts last week but it didn’t quite work out that way. I did manage to post every day though.
THIS WEEK’S GOALS
#1 Hire an assistant – I’ve decided it’s time to get an assistant to help out with some small research and posting tasks. I’m having trouble admitting I can’t do it all myself, but I know that freeing up some valuable time will help all of my businesses succeed. Have you ever hired an assistant? Any recommendations on how to go about this?
#2 Laundry – a couple of weeks ago our dryer broke so I’ve been putting off laundry until our new one gets delivered. It should be here today so it’s time to tackle that pile!
#3 Write and write some more – it’s only 1 week into 31 Days of Marketing Your Freelance Business, so I have a lot more posts to come up with! Once again I’ll be trying to work ahead this week.
